Number of Insured Children in Rhode Island Remains Steady at 94% of Children Covered

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT released new data from the U.S. Census Bureau showing that 94% of Rhode Island children have health coverage and 6% (13,000 children) are uninsured. Rhode Island continues to be ranked 10th best in the U.S. See our press release for more information and national rankings.

Countdown to Coverage Workshop
The Rhode Island Health Coverage Project hosted our latest workshop about the Affordable Care Act, HealthSource RI, and Medicaid/RIte Care. More than 220 staff from community organizations participated. HealthSource RI Now Open
October 1st marked the grand opening of HealthSource RI, the state's new health insurance marketplace. Individuals and families in need of health insurance can visit www.HealthSourceRI.com or call 1-855-840-HSRI (4774) to find coverage, including RIte Care and Medicaid plans. Free and confidential help with applying is available.
