New Issue Brief on Child Poverty Released

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT just released its latest Issue Brief - Child Poverty in Rhode Island. The Issue Brief takes an in-depth look at child poverty in Rhode Island's 39 cities and towns, and provides poverty data by age, race, and family structure. The Issue Brief also provides recommendations on how to alleviate poverty among Rhode Island's children.

Copies of the 2012 Rhode Island Kids Count Factbook are still available. The annual publication charts improvements and declines in 67 indicators of child well-being in Rhode Island.
