It is such a joy to be able to create flutes. Of course the creation of the flute is not finished for us until you are actually making music with the flute. Thank you so much for completing the process for us.

Woodsounds Classics - A Video Introduction

The Woodsounds Classics!

Custom Creations

We recently finished several Custom Creations of which I am quite pleased. The Bear Necessities is one of my favorites! It is made form Curly Silver Maple, Myrtle Burl, Ebony, Turquoise, and Mother of Pearl.

Tuned in the Key of Low E, this is an excellent instrument for playing with guitar and other instruments.

The voice on the flute is rich and full with lots of resonance. There is excellent volume. This is a flute that was made to sing!

The flute is about 28 inches long and the bottom finger hole is 18 inches from the mouth piece. The reach between fingers holes is 1 1/4.

There are additional new flutes on the Custom Creations page that you can see and listen to. Each flute has multiple pictures and sound files with reverb and without.

The city of Eau Claire, and particularly its university, encourages all forms of creativity and self-expression, an approach that is displayed both readily and proudly. The beauty of nature is resplendent in Eau Claire, especially on the university campus where there are bike paths, scenic walking trails, and a river that runs directly by the Haas Fine Arts Center where the World Flute Society convention will be held.

Four carefully-designed programs of musical immersion centered on the Native American flute, with the goal of bringing your musicality to a new level.

Seven dedicated, full-time facilitators: Clint Goss, Eric Miller, Lynn Miller, Ron Kravitz, Frank Henninger, Ron Volkman, and Vera Shanov, and three invited flute makers offering their creations as well as workshops: Jon Norris, Brent Haines, and Judy Robinson.

On site recording, with the capability of recording your song or album, with the support of hundreds of freely-usable backing tracks and/or live musicians.

Flute Haven provides a supportive, non-critical approach based on three decades of experience in humanistic music education.
