Do Women Who Suffer From Migraines Also Tend To Have Rosacea?

Investigators from the University of Basel, Switzerland, reviewed the records over 50,000 male and female patients with rosacea treated between 1995 and 2009. They were compared with other patients who did not have rosacea. The researchers discovered that there was a small overall association between rosacea and migraines in women that was not seen in men. The effect was more pronounced in female migraine sufferers ages 50 to 59. This research was published in the September, 2013 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
