MCHA vs. Almost Home Humane Society Fundraising Challenge

This year, we have challenged our friends at Almost Home Humane Society in Lafayette, Indiana (home of the Boilermakers) to a Fundraising challenge!

MCHA will be in a race to raise more donations for the spay/neuter assistance fund than fans in Lafayette, Indiana. The official challenge tip off was Thursday, February 5 at 9am, with the contest coming to a close on Thursday, February 19th at the IU vs. Purdue basketball game.

Please, help show your Hoosier spirit and show that Bloomington knows how to rally behind their cause with MCHA!  Donations of any amount can be made online or over the phone (812-333-6242) but must be made with an emphatic "GO HOOSIERS!"

What you can do:
  • Donate!  (any amount is welcomed)
  • Share on Facebook & Twitter
  • Start an office contest (in MCHA offices, if you say " P U R D U E " you have to put a quarter in the bucket)
Thank you for your support, and most importantly, GO HOOSIERS!
Send a Snuggle
on Thursday, February 19th
for 'Random Acts of Kindness Day'

This year, MCHA is allowing you the chance to 'send a snuggle' with one of your favorite animal ambassadors from MCHA to anyone in Monroe County! Show you've got heart, say your sorry, or just because it's Random Acts of Kindness Day, you can say it with fur, scales or feathers.

Select which animal ambassador (Choose from Scout, Pheobe, Hera, Bandit, Sparkle, Boris, Tangerine, Lucille, Rocket or Flash) should visit your friend (or foe), and for just $25, we'll make sure they get 15minutes of solid snuggle time.

Number of visits are animal ambassadors can make is limited, so reserve your snuggles today!

Did you know that February 7 through the 14 is 'Have a Heart for Chained Dogs week'?  The focus of this week is to draw attention to those dogs who are kept chained outside with little human attention.  To learn more about chained dogs, click here.

MCHA middle school Animal Advocates Club recently made Valentines for Chained Dogs that will be given out by Dogs Deserve Better area representatives this week to many dogs in communities across the United States. See all the pictures of the Valentines here.
