| Our development team continues to meet the demands of our customers with new features of Intellimas that make it a compelling answer to spreadsheet woes and form based screens. Below is a sample of these features which have been deployed at various customers over the last 6 months. More to come! |
Welcome to our new Dashboard! This screen is a one stop shop to everything Intellimas. It has 3 distinct productivity improvement features:
- Left panel - This lists all entities in which a user has access along with their saved searches. This means that one click can take you right to the data you need to view or edit. You can also have several entities or the same entity open several times now, another productivity improvement.
- Center panel - This shows you shared searches in which you have access. Customers have asked us for a way that an administrator can set up a saved search and assign it to different user groups, and shared searches have accomplished this goal. This makes it much easier to train vendors or remote teams and gives all users a head start when they begin using the app.
- Right panel - The right panel shows alerts. Consistent with the all other functions of Intellimas, alerts are fully configurable. An alert has access to the before and after value of every field stored in the Intellimas tables. Therefore we can help you write alerts that are directed to specific users which advise them that a cost changed by more than 10%, or that you have an incoming submit because you have a new air waybill# from a vendor, or that a test failed. The possibilities are endless.

Intellimas can now be configured to retrieve images! In order to do this, we would need to understand the relationship between your master data and the image. For example, if you are tracking trim approvals in an Intellimas entity, you may want to have an image reference for the trim items. That image would need to be housed in your PLM or ERP system in which we are already retrieving your master data and a clear link would need to exist between that master data and the image. We expect image fields to be added to many entities going forward. |
Another field type we have added is a hyperlink. This field can be configured to launch the parent application from which we are retrieving master data or external web sites. A popular use of this field is to track a shipment with a courier, such as UPS or Fedex. All we need to make that happen is the ship-via and air waybill# and the hyperlink will direct you to the tracking screen of the courier's web site. We are sure that our customers will come up with many other uses for this field. |
Our new Sub-Entity feature is a concept that has allowed our customers to take a major leap forward with Intellimas by using what is essentially a grid within a grid. Many times customers need to pull information for viewing or editing that is not at the same level as their master data or request level data, but is related in some way. Now, with a right click, you can launch another smaller grid on top of the existing grid to achieve this goal. Examples of its use are:- If you are using Intellimas for your costing process, we can help you retrieve a full bill of materials (BOM) for each cost scenario. The BOM can be edited in the sub-entity by a vendor or internal user and the total BOM cost can be pulled into the cost scenario line.
- If you have a time and action calendar entity and one of the tasks is not approved, you can launch a sub-entity to view that source data or even update it so that it affects the calendar.
- Similar to the last point, if you are keeping track of QA audits in a summary entity, you can launch the more detailed entity to review or update a workmanship or measurement audit and have it affect the summary level status.
Just like our other new features, the possibilities for sub-entities are only limited by the imagination and business processes of our customers.
