Slough Buzz
#135 | November 14, 2014
The future of conservation begins with...
...inspiring the next generation.

The Elkhorn Slough Foundation Slough Stewards program introduces local high school students to the science, satisfaction, and importance of caring for nature. We believe today's youth are tomorrow's land conservationists. As Slough Stewards, students connect with protected lands during a nine-month, hands-on program focused on conservation of the Elkhorn Slough and its watershed.

Your donation today supports community outreach, education, and conservation.  And now, by giving through the Monterey County Gives! matching grant program, your contribution can go even farther.
Watch a video of the Slough Stewards students in action!

Through December 31, Monterey County Gives! will match a percentage of every dollar given through the campaign. So stretch your gift and donate today!
