On Sunday, July 27, the Washington Kastles became only the second team in Mylan WTT history to win four consecutive championships after defeating the Springfield Lasers in the Mylan WTT Final for the second year in a row. The Kastles, who are familiar with chasing records and set the bar for the longest win streak in major professional sports history with 34 straight victories in 2013, ended their 2014 campaign with a 25-13 win over the Lasers in Springfield, Mo., to tie the Sacramento Capitals four-peat championship run from 1997-2000. Hall of Famer Martina Hingis was named Finals MVP after earning a 5-2 singles win over Olga Govortsova to lengthen the Kastles lead after the second set, and then following that up with strong performances in both women's doubles and mixed doubles to end the match. With this, the Kastles have now won the King Trophy in five of the last six seasons. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHAMPION KASTLES AND ALL OF THE MYLAN WTT TEAMS ON AN EXCITING 2014 SEASON!
