On February 12, the 2013 Mylan World TeamTennis Marquee Draft was held and some of the most exciting names in tennis were selected to play the in the 38th season this July.

With the first pick in the draft, the Springfield Lasers selected fan favorite Andy Roddick. The former world No. 1 first played Mylan WTT in 2000, and this season will be his 7th in the League and first since 2010. He is scheduled to play five matches in different markets this July.

The World TeamTennis format is conquering new ground! Recently, the first coed tennis program for high school club sports was established by the San Diego County High Schools with the help of Billie Jean King and World TeamTennis.

During their winter season, high school student athletes experienced the fast-paced, coed WTT format through a series of matches at local school and park locations. Teams made up of three girls and three boys play girls' and boys' singles; girls' and boys' doubles; and two mixed doubles sets, similar to a Pro League match format.

The inaugural season of this program culminated in the First Annua
l High School WTT Festival, which was held on Saturday, February 2 and Saturday, February 9. More than 300 kids were in attendance at the George E. Barnes Family Junior Tennis Center during the two weekend sessions where 16 teams participated in the Festival and played through the final round.
