J.P. Smith & Anna-Lena Groenefeld start their 2013 season Down Under at Brisbane
The Breakers very own J.P. Smith & Anna-Lena Groenefeld have started their 2013 season off with a bang Down Under at the Brisbane International Tennis Tournament. J.P. partnered up with fellow Aussie John Peers and knocked out the American duo of Ryan Harrison and Brian Baker 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the Quarterfinals. The Aussies, playing in their home country, had the crowd behind them but fell just short to Grigor Dimitrov and Kei Nishokori 7-6(6), 7-5.
Anna-Lena and her partner, and fellow WTT player, Kveta Peschke are the #4 seed and have advanced to the Finals of Brisbane! They took out the #1 seed Errani/Vinci 6-4, 6-1, and will meet Mattek-Sands/Mirza in the final showdown! Good Luck Anna-Lena & Kveta!!
