FROM NAO
Reflections from Jim
Jim White
Imagine a room filled with all the people your organization needs to accomplish its mission as well as all the people that you know have been mission detractors. Then imagine these people checking egos at the door, working together effectively toward a common goal, and developing the necessary trust to make a real difference. Imagine when detractors become advocates and supporters becoming super ambassadors for your work. This process of trust-building for impact is central to the work ofJane Wei-Skillern who we are bringing to the Portland metro area on January 25th and Eugene on January 26th for a series of workshops.

FEDERAL ISSUES
Nonprofits Making the Case for Charitable Giving Incentives
Legislation to renew and extend charitable giving incentives remains on the agenda for Congress before it adjourns for the year. Nonprofits across the country are stepping up their advocacy efforts to emphasize the importance of the giving incentives on the work that occurs in communities. "We cannot overstate the impact increases in voluntary giving would have on priorities such as education, conservation of open spaces and hunger relief, helping to create a sustainable future for all Oregonians," wrote four Oregon nonprofit leaders, including Jim White of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, in an opinion article posted on Oregon Live.

If you have any questions filling out the survey please contact Jennifer Bugley at 503-239-401 x102 or email jbugley@nonprofitoregon.org
