Are you ready to use your talent and time to help build the nonprofit sector's voice and visibility? The Nonprofit Association of Oregon is seeking 3-4 new board members beginning October 2015. Membership on the Board of Directors is open to anyone with a demonstrated commitment to advancing the interests of Oregon's nonprofit sector. We will strive to select a slate of candidates that is inclusive and broadly representative of the State of Oregon's growing diversity, and all regions of the state and varied nonprofit sub-sectors. About the Conference
The 2015 Alliance for Nonprofit Management National Conference will take place on October 6th, 7th, and 8th in Portland, Oregon.
Portland State University, the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and the Alliance for Nonprofit Management are teaming up to host an exceptional conference this fall in Portland, Oregon! An anticipated crowd of 350 to 400 nonprofit professionals, capacity builders, funders, researchers, government officials and business leaders will come together to network and learn from the nation's most influential social change leaders.
The annual Alliance for Nonprofit Management Conference is designed for nonprofit capacity builders and is attended by researchers, funders, consultants and other nonprofit stakeholders from across the United States. Through intimate breakout sessions and round table discussions, the Alliance seeks to enhance the work of those committed to increasing the nonprofit sector's capacity to achieve positive social change.
A dedicated track of nonprofit-focused sessions will be offered on Wednesday, October 7th and the Nonprofit Association of Oregon will host its annual member meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the same day . Read more

Unemployment Insurance though UST
|
By joining the Unemployment Services Trust (UST), NAO 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Members with 10 or more employees can receive a 50% reduction in their unemployment tax rate in the first two years. After that, your organization can continue with reduced contributions each year since you will only pay dollar-for-dollar for your own unemployment claims, per federal law. UST is a Grantor Trust with the sole purpose of lowering unemployment costs for its members. UST is managed and owned by its member nonprofit organizations. Learn more
