Dear Friends,

April has been an important month for the nonprofit sector in terms of our relationship with the public sector. The Oregon Legislature is working hard to ensure adequate funding for health, human services, and education. Our representatives rely on the direct knowledge and communication of the myriad of nonprofits and coalitions who dedicate time, resources, and expertise to go to Salem and advocate on behalf of their causes. This system works and is strong because our policymakers listen and craft laws based on thoughtful dialogue.
