Today is the Last Day for Fast Pitch Applications! 

The Fast Pitch Social Innovation Expo, put on by SVPAZ, is a free two-month communication skills building program and competition for innovative nonprofits in Maricopa County. The program equips nonprofit leaders to communicate their story powerfully and connects them with leaders of the business and funding communities who can help them create significant community impact. Ellen Solowey dispels the "overhead myth"
Ellen Solowey of Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust wrote an op-ed  for the Arizona Republic on how measuring nonprofit's worth by how much they spend on fundraising, office space and payroll is an easy, but flawed measure of success. She says, "Dollars wisely devoted to non-profit overhead are an investment in the quality, efficiency and growth of the irreplaceable services they provide." Read more.
