AGF Welcomes Apollo Group as a new member!

Apollo Group is made up of thousands of individuals with a passion to serve, led by the example set by Dr. John Sperling from the very start nearly 40 years ago.

Today, social responsibility efforts are focused on the following three philosophies:

  • Scholarships provide opportunities for individuals to earn a college degree.
  • Strategic relationships with select organizations help better prepare local students and residents to succeed in academic and workplace settings.
  • Through monetary and in-kind giving, sponsorships and employee volunteerism, Apollo Group helps local nonprofits improve their surrounding communities.
"How a Recession and a Myth Revealed What We Already Knew"
Kathleen P. Enright, President and CEO of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, writes how the economic recession only validated the obvious - that nonprofits need flexible, long-term dollars. She identifies examples of funders embracing this tactic and their successes. Worth the read!

Save the date! Kathleen Enright will be the keynote speaker at the AGF Annual Meeting. She will discuss the connection between what we do and how we do it and provide basic practices for a culture that is conducive to high performance. Mark your calendars for December 19th!
