ASU Lodestar & AGF collaborate on "Arizona Scope of the Sector"
This online, interactive knowledge repository and research tool reports on the revenues and assets of nonprofit organizations across Arizona. It does so by county and by subsector-such as education, environment, health, etc. It includes an analysis of charitable giving and volunteering practices in the state. The grantmaking report was built in collaboration with AGF. Member Survey Results are in! Thank you to everyone who completed the most recent Member Q & A. Bit by bit, you help us gain a broad overview of the state of foundations in Arizona. This month we polled members on discretionary grants and matching funds. Survey results are now available on our website. See how your foundation compares!

Basic Stats:
I will be 37 next month. I am originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and have lived in Phoenix for 7 ½ years now with my 10 year old Basset Hound, Walter. Walter and I have also lived in Seattle, Puerto Vallarta Mexico and Chicago.
Additionally, I have a wonderful boyfriend Dave and two lovely young ladies, Leilani and Hayley in my life. I am blessed with a loving family and friends in many countries.
First and Most Interesting Job:
My most interesting job was in 1999 as the general manager of Club Millennium nightclub where we had a nightly new year's eve like celebration.
Pathway to Philanthropy:
6 months after taking a job as director of sales and marketing for national furniture company and moving to Phoenix, the business imploded and went under. I was fortunate to have made some great contacts and pick up some consulting work. One of the contracts I garnered was for the Foundation; 1 year later they brought me on full-time.
I now oversee all of the Foundation's events, marketing, public relations, scholarships, grantmaking and youth programs. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve the community to gain insight into the amazing efforts and work being done here in Arizona. I am engaged and enamored by the sector and feel I have only just scratched the surface!
Hobbies/Favorite Pastime
I love to cook and entertain at home, but you'll find me dining at the latest restaurants just as often. I hit the ski slopes again last winter for the first time in 10 years and strive to travel to both warm and cold climates as much as possible. I wish I had more time to enjoy hiking and boating and one day hope to own an Airstream travel trailer. I also enjoy attending live music performances, volunteering and working on my small business venture. With my remaining free time I appreciate home tours, interior design and mid-century modern architecture!
Talent You Wish You Had
I wish I could play classical piano.
