QUICK LINKS
FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER AT JERSEY MIKE'S

Jersey Mike's in Bloomingdale has partnered with us to raise funds for the Carol Stream Chamber Foundation. It's a GREAT deal to get a 7" sub free for a $2 donation to the Foundation! Dates are September 23 & 24th between 10am and 9pm.

You can use two coupons for two sandwiches if you have two people at the restaurant, and so on. See the coupon for all details and restrictions. You can also ask to add additional $ and you'll help us raise much-needed funds.

We have the coupons you'll need and we will distribute them at upcoming chamber events. Stop by the office if you'd like one.

The funds raised by the Foundation are for students pursuing higher education, for educational programs in business, and charitable aid in the community.

Donations are tax-deductible according to the IRS tax code for this 501©3.

JOINT AFTER HOURS ON SEPTEMBER 17

The Bloomingdale Chamber is gathering with us for the September 17th After Hours.

It will be held at Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort from 5:30-7:30pm. The beauty of the after hours events is that there is no set program/schedule and there is no fee, so stop by for any or all of it, and bring an associate or two -- someone you think could benefit from some networking.

NEW BENEFIT OF CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP
This just in..... we have a new program called
At each chamber event -- After Hours, Networking in the Morning, Ribbon Cutting --we will collect business cards and draw one. We'll take a photo of the winner and post it on the chamber Facebook page (which pushes to the chamber Twitter account). We will put their contact info from Chamber Master along with a company description in the next Constant Contact newsletter.

Newsletter Spotlight... bringing more visibility to our member businesses.
Dear Chamber Members,
This monthly eNewsletter supplements our quarterly printed edition and is designed to keep you current with chamber events and opportunities.

Touch your iPhones, fire up your tablets, or take out your day planner and enter these events. If you know someone who would benefit from our organization, feel free to forward this to them.
WELCOME. ENGAGE. BUILD.
I know it's not a New Year, but I cannot help but say "Welcome Back!"

As the summer vacations end and some who have children returning to school find, it's a 'fresh' year. Maybe we aren't using new crayons anymore (didn't you love getting a new box??) but it's still time to take a fresh look at what your chamber offers you and ENGAGE anew.

We will offer a monthly luncheon (or two) which, in my opinion, is the best hour-and-a-half a month you can set aside at which to focus on building your business. Consider making a "recurring appointment" in your electronic calendar.

After Hours and Networking in the Morning are designed to reach those unable to get away from lunch OR those who can make luncheons but want an extra boost of visibility. No fee for these before and after hour events is 'levied' -- that's a plus, right?

The above events, coupled with Expos and extra opportunities sprinkled onto our calendar are all ways to put your business front and center....in front of fellow chamber members and visitors.

So....."Welcome Back!" ...and hope to see you soon!

CHAMBER WEEK IS SEPTEMBER 14-18th!!
Across the state of Illinois there are more than 400 chambers and they will be celebrating September 14th through 18th as Chamber of Commerce Week. This is a week where we invite and encourage all members to SHOP THE CHAMBER, using fellow businesses especially during this week.

The first chamber in Illinois was founded in 1838 in Galena and the Carol Stream Chamber began in 1992.
