3rd ANNUAL BRIDAL EXPO RECAP | |
When the weatherman said there would be freezing rain from 11:00 until 3:00 on the day of our Bridal and Special Events Expo, some of our local brides and party-throwers scoffed at it and ventured out anyways. Yes, the weather kept some away but our exhibitors did a fine job of presenting their businesses and pitching to the near 100 who attended. I spotted most of them networking with their fellow chamber members when a lull came, and heard some partnerships had been made. If you would like to see some photos of the event, click here... |

NETWORKING IN THE MORNING | |
February starts off busy and keeps us hopping all the month through. Our first event will be the February 5th "Networking in the Morning" - our Business Before Hours. This time we will be hosted by our chamber member Verizon Wireless, 336 W. Army Trail in Bloomingdale. This event features casual networking as well as Speed Networking. Sign up here...

After the Before Hours comes the After Hours -- ok, that is confusing. Just mark your calendars for February 7th for a 5:30-7:30pm Business After Hours at Flip Flops Tiki Bar & Grill. Flip Flops is located off Gary and Lies at 1022 Fountain View Drive in Carol Stream. This type event is perfect for those who want to get some business relationships started or strengthened in a casual setting. Some of our members stay the whole two hours, while others arrive late or leave early. No matter which you choose, be sure to be armed with a fistful of business cards and networking energy!

The 17th annual Five Star Business Expo will feature members of the: Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, and the Glendale Heights chambers. We are very grateful for our next WIB event on Wednesday, February 27th at John & Tony's in West Chicago. We will hear from speaker Sharon Weinstein/SMW Group LLC on the topic of "Gratitude". Remember, women and men are always invited, as are non-chamber members.
