New Restaurant Opens in Downtown Lake Zurich

Craving Gyros Brings Greek Option Downtown

Welcome Craving Gyros to downtown Lake Zurich (corner of Old Rand Rd and Main St).

Craving Gyros is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 8 pm.

During a recent visit, owners Bill and Nikki Koliopoulos remarked: "Everyone here is so friendly and nice."  It goes both ways, we are glad you chose Lake Zurich for your restaurant.

Ancient Oaks Foundation

Restoration Day at Breezewald Park

The Lake Zurich Ancient Oaks Foundation invites you to Restoration Day at Breezewald Park on Saturday, November 7 starting at 9:00 am.

All ages are welcome, bring the whole family.

After clearing and weeding the "Prairie Patch" at Breezewald Park, the Foundation is ready to spread native grass and flower seeds this Saturday.

Dress for the weather, bring landscaping gloves, and show up with a hammer to pound the landscaping stakes into the ground (for tacking down the mat).

The Ancient Oaks Foundation is Lake Zurich's only 501c3 non-profit conservation organization.  More on the Foundation...

Lake Zurich's Water Supply

Where Does the Village Water Come From?

Lake Zurich operates its own water supply and distribution system and receives water from six deep wells drilled into the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer, a large underground water supply that lies beneath Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.  More on water quality...

Well water is professionally filtered and treated, meeting all regulatory standards of the Environmental Protection Agency.  Each year the Village publishes a Drinking Water Quality Report

Is a Water Softener Necessary?

Residents often ask if they should purchase a water softener.  This is a matter of personal preference and choice, but the Village's water is technically considered to be very soft.  Residents who choose to install a softener should set the regeneration rate based on water that has a hardness level of 6-8 grains per gallon.

Village Water & Sewer Utility Bill Payment Options

Pay By Phone or Setup Automatic Payments

Lake Zurich residents and businesses now have the option of paying monthly water and sewer bills by phone with a credit card, debit card or electronic check.

To use the new service, utility customers can call 877-690-3729, enter jurisdiction code #2322 and follow the prompts.

We suggest having a copy of your Lake Zurich utility bill handy when you call so that you have the necessary information, such as your account number.

The Village accepts MasterCard, American Express and Discover for credit cards.   A convenience fee will be added by the processing company, of which the Village does not receive any portion.

You can also visit LakeZurich.org to set up automatic payments for your bill directly from your financial institution.  Set up automatic payments...

Leaves in Street Can Cause Flooding

Help Keep Lake Zurich Sewers Open

Fall leaf collection is occurring throughout Lake Zurich until Friday, December 4.

As a reminder, leaves should be raked into the parkway within five feet of the curb, but not over the curb and into the street. Please try to keep leaves out of the street.

As seen in this picture, when leaves are raked into the street, maintaining a storm sewer system becomes difficult and often results in localized roads flooding since drainage basins are blocked.  Details on Yard Waste and Leaf Collection Program...
