Village Launches 1st Ever National Citizen Survey

If Your House is Selected, Please Complete the Survey

The Village wants to know what you think about the quality of life in the community, your satisfaction with municipal services, where public resources should be directed, and where they think the Village is headed overall. That's why this summer, the Village is partnering with the National Research Center to conduct the 2015 National Citizen Survey.

Over the next couple of weeks 1,400 randomly selected Lake Zurich households will receive the National Citizen Survey in the mail.  If you are one of the 1,400 selected households, please be sure to take a few moments and complete the survey, as the results will be rich in valuable data that will be used for years.

If you have any questions about this process or about the survey itself, please contact Village Hall at 847-540-1684.

Should the Visit Spend Tax Funds on Switching to Lake Michigan Water?

Since 2010, the Village has been studying the feasibility of securing Lake Michigan water as an alternative to receiving water from deep underground aquifers via six wells.  Residents receiving the National Citizen Survey this summer will be asked about this possibility.

For more background on this important issue, please visit the Village's Lake Michigan water page.

Recent Mailings from Spark Energy - Electric Aggregation

Spark Energy Sends Incorrect Letter

Recently some Lake Zurich residents received a notice from Spark Energy in the mail regarding the Village's electric aggregation program.  This notice makes a claim that is not correct, starting "Aggregation is ending and once again you have the power to choose!"  This is not true.

Spark is NOT the Village's supplier.  Homefield Energy is the Village's supplier.

The Spark Energy notice states aggregation ends in August 2015. This is not true. The program continues to June 2017.

Residents receiving this notice are advised not to enroll. They may file a complaint by calling the Illinois Commerce Commission Consumer Services Division at 800-524-0795 or visiting http://www.icc.illinois.gov/consumer/complaint.
