Cruise Night Returns TONIGHT

   

Downtown Summer Fun Kicks Off

   

Cruise Night returns to downtown Lake Zurich the first Wednesday of each month starting at 6:00 pm.  The first 2015 cruise night is tonight, Wednesday, May 6th.  This event is free to cruisers and spectators. 

 

 

  

Same Day Permit Reviews Available

 

Village Offers Quick Turnarounds for Eligible Projects
 

The Village's Community Services Department is starting a "Same Day Permit Review" in an effort to improve the issuance of building permits for various projects.  Often a permit can be issued by discussing changes and correcting plans over the counter.

 

Same Day Permit Review is available on Thursdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Community Services Department, 505 Telser Road.  This new service is available from May 21 through September 24.  Stop in and get your summer home improvement project started!

Midlothian Manor Public Hearing

   

Appeals Hearing Set for May 12

 

Lake County's Zoning Board of Appeals will hold an administrative appeals hearing on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 4:30 pm at the Lake Zurich High School Library, 300 Church Street, regarding the use of Midlothian Manor on Lakewood Lane.

The Beach Beckons...

   

Paulus Park Beach Opens May 23.  Breezewald Beach Opens May 30.   

 

Get ready for Lake Zurich's 2015 beach season!  Our beautiful local beaches offer our residents plenty of fun in the sun at a great value.  The Paulus Park Spray Ground is almost ready and the piers are being expanded for wibit inflatables. 

 

Summer season beach passes are available now.  Beach passes get you access to both beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Please visit the Barn at Paulus Park, 200 South Rand Road, to purchase passes.  Once the beaches open, passes can be purchased at the entrances.

Shiny New Ambulance on the Way

   

Village Improves Paramedic Rescue Services 

 

This week the Village has approved the purchase of a brand new 2016 ambulance for the Fire Rescue Department.  The new ambulance will be equipped with state-of-the-art life saving technology to provide years of rapid medical response to Lake Zurich residents.  The new ambulance is actually replacing an older 15-year old unit in conjunction with a municipal fleet-replacement schedule. 

 

The Fire Rescue Department operates four front line prime response ambulances within the Village and rural Fire Protection District.

 

Garden Club of Lake Zurich's Annual Plant Sale - May 16

    

Local Pro's with Locally Grown Plants Ready to Assist in your Spring Landscaping

 

The Garden Club of Lake Zurich will host their annual spring plant sale on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 8:30 am to noon at the Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail. 

 

The sale will feature locally grown perennials, house plants, and herbs from local gardens.  Garden Club members will be on hand to answer questions and assist with selection.
