Electronic Recycling Program is Ending

SWALCO Ending County-Wide Program

Lake Zurich is temporarily closing the e-waste recycling location at Community Services, 505 Telser Road effective Thursday, December 18, 2014. We cannot accept e-waste after that date due to SWALCO ending the program.

Due to unforeseen difficulties in operating a program for public collection of electronics under the parameters of the Illinois Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act, The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) is announcing that effective December 18, 2014 SWALCO supported residential electronics recycling collection sites within Lake County will begin to shut down and stop accepting electronics until further notice.

Downtown TIF - What's Going On?

Joint Review Board Meetings

Do you have an interest in Lake Zurich's downtown tax increment financing (TIF) district and the plan that is currently underway to divide the TIF district into two?

Want to learn more about how splitting the TIF will position the Village in a more financially sustainable position to handle long-term debt?

Two TIF Joint Review Board meetings are scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2014 starting at 2:30 pm at Village Hall, 70 East Main Street.

These meetings are intended for local taxing bodies who are impacted by the TIF district to review the conditions and future development plans for the TIF district.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.  The full agendas are available at LakeZurich.org.
