President's Message
I'm really looking forward to this Friday's speaker -- William Sullivan. I have several of his books on hiking trails in Oregon and his experiences in building a cabin on the Siletz and hiking across Oregon. Should be a great luncheon!
We will be hearing more about our community service project at La Placita. Maureen Casey reports that CTEC will be bringing the raised bed materials to the site next week.
And, of course, our garage sale to benefit McKay seniors is this Saturday. If you haven't already signed up to help, please do so by contacting Pat Mack or Karin Holton.
The District Conference is May 19 - 22 in Vancouver, WA. There are some great speakers lined up and the ever-popular youth talent show. You can register online from the district website or go to www.iheartrotary.org.

Garage Sale - This is the week!
This is the week for the garage sale. Friday is the last chance to bring stuff to a club meeting. If you have larger items that you will be dropping off on Saturday morning, someone will be at 2450 Lancaster Dr NE by 6:30am on Saturday morning. We are in need of pop-ups and tables so if you have either of these items, please contact Pat or Karin. We need your help to make this successful for McKay and the club so if you haven't signed up for a shift yet, please email Pat or be sure to sign up at the meeting on Friday.
Citywide Golf Tournament
The annual golf tournament will take place on Friday, July 22 at Cross Creek Golf Course. We are looking for golfers, sponsors and people to buy a box of dictionaries. It is a four person scramble format so it will be fun for golfers of all levels. Any monies raised above the cost of golf and our portion of the dictionaries comes back into our club fundraising budget. Click here for the form for costs and to sign up for any of the above.
