Bascomb Elementary Career Day 2013
Thanks to Bascomb Elementary and NAFC fencer Connor Campbell for having Head Coach John Terris out for their Career Day! Connor and Coach Terris demonstrated the techniques of epee fencing for the students. Let us know when you have a Career Day at your school, we'll be happy to come out and give a demonstration!

Whether you're a beginner or a serious competitor looking to hone your skills, NAFC is the place to be this summer!  
Lunch provided daily for both camps.
Open to ages 8 and up.

Learn the sport of Olympic style fencing! Perfect your footwork and techniques for scoring points with appropriate advances and retreats.

THE NAFC SUMMER KICK-OFF LOCK-IN WAS A BLAST!
We appreciate everyone who participated in our first lock-in! Thanks especially to the Seeber family, who provided awesome arcade games for the evening, to the Vernachio family, who set up the black light fencing, to the families who donated food, and to all those who stayed up to chaperone. Hands-On Armory Clinic
Join us for an informative hands-on armory clinic.
Michael Green, epee armorer at  Fencing.net, as well as a certified National Competition referee, will be joining us. 
We'll show you how to keep your weapons in shape and in compliance with fencing regulations!

FIRST FRIDAY FUNDRAISER

Friday, June 7th starting at 6 p.m.

Mark your calendars to join us on for our monthly potluck dinner/fund raiser. This week's main dish is being provided by the Steel family. Please bring a side dish, appetizer, or desert to share. Cost is $5 per person, or $20 for the family. Funds raised will be used to purchase and repair equipment and make upgrades to the center as needed. We look forward to seeing you and thanks for your support!

How did you become interested in the sport?
My grandma, my mom, and I saw the fencing center, and I wanted to try it.

What do you like most about fencing?
I like the tournaments and the friends I've made here.

What has been your favorite competition?
My very first tournament, May Mayhem, was fun because I had friends to support me and I learned a lot.

What do you do other than fencing?
Horseback riding, gymnastics, singing, fishing, and I love walking my dog, Charlie.
