The purpose of Professional Networking is to cultivate relationships that can be helpful to one another professionally, especially in finding employment or moving to a higher position.

LinkedIn alone has over 101 million members as of 2014.  Of those social media participants, the technology field is leading the professional networking pack with 15.3%.  This sector of LinkedIn is using this site to mainly connect with a desired company's leaders in order to find their next position.

Although social media, specifically LinkedIn, is a great tool to get connected, nothing beats the face-to-face interactions with peers of your own industry.  At ITC, we believe that getting groups of job-like professionals together will help to facilitate this interaction.  Our first networking event will be held in the Los Angeles area for Project Managers.  We welcome you to join us for an intimate gathering of PMs where you can freely discuss the issues facing the current environment of the industry.  Read on to find information on how to sign up for this great event.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Nicole McMackin

President

How to Attract and Retain Talent with the Right Benefits
Multiple generations in the workforce simultaneously can make benefits a tricky issue for businesses. The key is understanding how benefits can help you attract and retain top talent by offering the right solutions for each generation.

With multiple generations in the workforce at the same time - Millennials, Generation X and Baby Boomers - it can be tricky to navigate benefits offerings when recruiting and hiring talent. But ignoring the issue could leave businesses without a crucial tool for attracting and retaining top talent.
Best Technology Jobs 2014
Technology is one of the most pervasive forces in our society today - we use it both to connect and detach, to save time and to waste it - so we're especially dependent on those who make their living by creating, powering and supporting our electronics and information systems. Employment numbers are already high within the tech industry, but this is expected to be one of the fastest-growing fields between 2012 and 2022. When you consider this industry's high job prospects and well-paying occupations, it's easy to see why our No. 1 job overall hails from this part of the workforce.

Employee Spotlight

Meet David Jackson, ITC's newest Sourcer.  David comes to ITC with a vast amount of experience in customer service and has already shown a strong ability to work under pressure.  His favorite part of Sourcing is looking through all of the different resumes and finding the right fit to the job orders.  He is looking forward to receiving more training and begin contacting candidates.

During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, reading, playing video games and volunteering at his church.  His favorite book is Angels & Demons and his favorite movies are JFK, Casablanca and The Godfather.

One of his favorite memories during his customer service experience was when he was working at Disneyland.  "One day, when I was...well, for the sake of not ruining the magic..."hanging out" with Mr. Incredible, I got to meet Paul McCartney and his family.  I was able to play tea party with his daughter and got to spend some time with the legend himself.  It was a great experience."

Welcome to the ITC family, David!
