As the doors open throughout schools in Douglas County this month, it is not uncommon for students to feel inundated by all things new. The beginning of the academic year arrives with a clean slate, a fresh set of school supplies, new teachers and classmates, and for some, a new school altogether.

The latest TCAP results show that DCSD students have outpaced the state average in all grades and all content areas of the TCAP statewide performance test. On average, DCSD scored more than 12 percentage points above the state average. Read more
