JUNE 2016

A Word from the Town Librarian
Dear Friends:
June is the time for getting back to basics. Get outside, sit in a lovely place, enjoy the fabulous weather and escape to new worlds with a good book - in any form. Take out the pile of books on the "I want to read when I have extra time list" and attack them with relish.  Beach reads can range from memoir to mystery to great tales that transport you to a make believe world that leaves no lasting imprint and that is OK.  Recently a friend confessed he was struggling to finish a book he detested. I gave him the librarian's special permission to stop immediately and move onto more pleasurable pursuits. Life is short. Summer is too. Read what enriches your life. Discard what doesn't.
Happy Summer!                                                    Karen
