Fourth of July Street Fair & Parade
Main Street, Ventura

What says summer better than a parade? Join us for Ventura's 4th of July Street Fair & Parade-a tradition 41 years in the making. It starts with the delightful Pushem-Pullem parade populated by kids, parents, bicycles and little red wagons too. Followed up with a street fair filled with booths of artisan-made crafts, savory foods to tempt each & every belly, several stages of live entertainment and a kid's zone full of fun rides & activities. Prepare for endless smiles all-around!
 
Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks by the Sea
Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard

Kick-off your 4th with a family-friendly 10k race or 5k fun run/walk--with time to finish before the children's parade starts! Then spend the day lounging at the beach or perhaps a kayak around the harbor. Before the sun sets and fireworks start, check out the electric boat parade. And here's an insider's hint: stand on the bridge to view the fireworks show and make sure you turn and look around, you might be able to view the shows in Camarillo & Ventura too, a very special treat if you're lucky!

Fiesta & Street Fair

Summertime & street fairs go hand-in-hand! Make sure the Camarillo Fiesta & Street Fair is on your bucket list. It's family friendly for visitors & residents alike. Old-Town Camarillo transforms into a huge carnival, encompassing several streets--with dancing, live-music, classic cars, a kid's zone and of course,THE carnival staple, a ferris wheel with views to amaze and enthrall. This long-time tradition (since 1962) attracts thousands to discover and enjoy Camarillo's charming Old-Town. But make your visit easy, park off-site and take the free shuttle.
 
Ventura Music Festival
July 15-17 & 22-24, Various Venues

Enjoy the new summer dates of the Ventura Music Festival.The 2016 Season marks 22 years that the Ventura Music Festival has presented classical, jazz, popular music and family concerts in a variety of venues in Ventura. The festival opens with a stunning piano duo, Emmy nominated too, Anderson & Roe then concludes the following weekend with award-winning film composers Bruce Broughton and Larry Groupè along with a sextet of musicians illustrating how they develop scores and themes for the movies. A delightful array of musical choices-make sure you check their site for all artists and performances.
 
Oxnard Salsa Festival

Mmmm, mmm, is there a better way to celebrate summer than with salsa--both the dance AND the tasty concoction of fresh ingredients you dip chips into? Both get equal billing at this hot, hot, hot celebration! Salsa tasting, international foods, craft & retail vendors, a kid's zone and of course dancing! You can even learn how to salsa BEFORE the festival, check here for some locations. And if you think your salsa (the dipping kind) is pretty good, try entering the Salsa Recipe Contest and find out for sure!

Wine & Food Festival

Simply a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon in July--under 100-year-old shade trees at the beautiful Camarillo Ranch, enjoying A Taste of Camarillo--Ventura County's longest running food & wine festival. Dallas Cowboys Training Camp
July 30-August 26, River Ridge Playing Fields, Oxnard 

America's favorite team returns to Oxnard's River Ridge playing fields for their month-long summer training camp--see your favorite players practice and scrimmage too. Get your favorite player's autograph, let your kids run free in the kid's zone
and enjoy a cold one at the beer garden. Don't miss the Hall of Fame truck--this one-of-a-kind attraction is filled with exhibits depicting the history of the Dallas Cowboys. Make sure you check the schedule for all current information!
