New to Computers?

WCFL is now offering "Computers for the Absolute Beginner" Classes

This class is an introduction to computers for first-time users. Learn basic computer terms and practice using a mouse and keyboard.

Monday 10/13 @ 2pm 
Wednesday 10/29 @ 2pm 
Monday 11/3 @ 2pm

Held in the Computer Lab on the 3rd floor of the Fletcher branch.
 
No registration required, but space is limited. Please arrive early to secure your spot.

October has arrived, bringing along pumpkins, colorful leaves, and crisp Autumn air! With cultural celebrations, entertaining guest lectures, parties for kids and teens, and so much more, Washington County Free Library offers activities and programs for patrons of all ages to enjoy this fall!

Celebrate Latin American Cuisine & Culture!

Enjoy free entertainment provided by a live Latin band and dancers from the Etnika Foundation.

Several area restaurants will provide a sampling of gourmet foods from Per�, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico while supplies last. Additional food and drink will be available for purchase.

Meet Cartoonist John Rose    

Wednesday, October 22nd

Come hear and see cartoons as they are created!

 

King Features popular Barney Google and Snuffy Smith comic strip by John Rose runs in hundreds of newspapers worldwide. Rose enjoys doing Snuffy Smith Chalk Talks in libraries and meeting fans of the long-running comic strip afterwards.   

 

In 2013, The Bodacious Best of Snuffy Smith by John Rose book collection was published and features over 350 of Rose's favorite Snuffy Smith comic strips.  The book will be available for purchase and autographing.
