From the author's website:
Description from author website:
The last thing Arlena Madison and Penelope Sutherland expect to find while searching for their runaway dog is a beautiful young girl buried in the snow on the side of the road. When the police discover that the murdered girl was obsessed with Arlena, an up-and-coming actress, questions arise about possible connections between the victim and the legendary Madison family. Arlena has just been cast as the lead actress in iconic film director Salvatore Marco's next movie. If she can prove herself as a serious actress, it might just be her ticket out of the cut-rate horror movie world.

James Houpt
In His Own Words

Join us and the author, James Houpt for a discussion of his book,
In His Own Words.

James McCullough's Diary offers a first-hand view of frontier life in Pennsylvania near the Maryland border during the colonial period of the French and Indian War. The diary, which begins its tale in 1747, has been the subject of several previous studies. Some were purely scholarly works, while others were admitted works of fiction. In his nonfiction treatment, Mr. Houpt treads closely along the paths suggested by the diary entries, and uses additional research materials-and a bit of imagination-to illuminate this fascinating period of American history.

Books will be available for purchase and signing following the discussion.  Reserve a seat online, or call 301-739-3250 x300

"Our Journey Transports Us Through Time"
One of the final pieces of artwork that we have commissioned for display outside of the lower level at the Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher branch is a bronze relief that we're calling by renowned sculptor Toby Menedez. The relief pays homage to the rich transportation history that is Washington County Maryland. Please join our Kickstarter Campaign to help us secure the final funding needed to complete this public art project.
