Jeff Smith in Concert Feb. 10
On February 10th, join us for a free concert by Jeff Smith, a singer-songwriter/guitarist whose work has been featured on The Young and the Restless. Jeff's keen interest in recording and creating music was sparked by the 60's British Invasion groups, the subsequent resurgence of blues music and the links to country and folk music.
The free concert begins at 3:00 PM at the Clear Spring Leonard P. Snyder Memorial Branch Library.
Reservations are appreciated, so please call 301-842-2730 to reserve a seat. Noteworthy Sundays @ Your Library is sponsored in part by the Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Library strives to make all programs accessible. Please inform us of special needs two weeks prior to the program.

To help out, or to learn more, you are cordially invited to attend the next Friends of the Library meeting on Wednesday, March 6 at 10:30 AM, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 West Franklin Street. If you'd like to become a member, download an application here, and join us today. |
Health Information @ Your Library
Cold and flu season is here ... and when it comes to your health, you want to be sure you're getting good information. On the regular, free Worldwide Web, it's not always clear how reliable the info is, and whether the website has a hidden agenda - like selling you a particular medication. At our website, you'll find several independent, reliable sources for health information -- for example, In our health databases we list only high-quality information sources that you can depend on - and it's all free with your library card. Questions? Need more help? Contact us! |
Kids' Corner
We're collecting valentines for Meals on Wheels customers During February, the Children's Department will be collecting valentines to be distributed through our local Meals on Wheels program. You can make your own valentine; have your children, grandchildren, or class make valentines; or buy a valentine to personalize and bring it to the library at either the North Pointe or Downtown location. Valentines will also be available to be made at both locations. Valentines will be distributed during the month of February to Meals on Wheels customers. |
