Meet Andrea Czarnecki, an upstream friend of SEAWA:

"Born and raised in Calgary, I lived right by the Elbow River and spent summers "tubing" down the river (this was a time when no one else would be on the river - not like today where any given summer day sees hundreds of rafters).

I turned my interest in the environment into a career path, which led me to working as a planner in Bangkok for 2 ½ years, then with Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development for 11 years, and most recently as publications editor for the Bow River Basin Council.

It's great to connect with SEAWA  - "we're all in this together!"

"In designating 2013 as the UN International Year of Water Cooperation, the recognizes that cooperation is essential to strike a balance between the different needs and priorities and share this precious resource equitably..."  Read more here.
