Meet WEHUB, a friend of SEAWA:

The Water and Environmental Hub (WEHUB) is a cloud-based, open source web platform that's making it easier for individuals and organizations to find, access, and share water and environmental data. Think of it as a web-based work bench that makes it easier for organizations, researchers, and companies to access and work with water data, and build custom solutions that fit their particular individual or community needs.

Water Trivia

There is more fresh water in the atmosphere than in all of the rivers on the planet combined.

What's on our radar this month? Alberta's new environmental monitoring agency...

The WEHUB project needs your help to collect and distribute Canadian water and environmental data for users to access, mashup, analyze, model and interpret. Do you have data to share? Or do you know an organization or individual who does? Visit the WEHUB website.

STOP! Important! Save the date!

The half-day workshop on Watershed Hydrology and Risk Management previously scheduled for November 12 has been re-scheduled for January 14 to accommodate people taking November 12 as a day off for Remembrance Day.

On November 22
SEAWA and the University of Saskatoon Global Institute for Water Security will be co-hosting a public meeting to share the preliminary results of the project titled "A Collaborative Approach to Better Understand Water Security in the Saskatchewan River Basin." There will be an opportunity to meet with members of the research team to review the findings, and to discuss next steps and opportunities for future collaboration. In the afternoon, representatives from Alberta Environment Water Quality Branch will discuss the results of recent water quality monitoring that has been conducted in the basin. Everyone is welcome - lunch will be provided. For more information and to RSVP please email maggie@seawa.ca.
