Run WILD! Rare Species Fund partners with
2014 Myrtle Beach Marathon.

For a few days next February, the streets of Myrtle Beach will be transformed into a jungle scene that provides the backdrop to an unforgettable experience. The Myrtle Beach Marathon has partnered with the Rare Species Fund for International Wildlife Conservation to create a weekend filled with wild animal encounters and opportunities to connect with rare species up-close and eye-to-eye. Marathon runners are a perfect group to support this cause due to their love of the outdoors and desire to help the endangered and rare species throughout the world.

Flat and Fast Race Course!

Every long distance runner loves to hear those words! Entering their 17th year, the MB Marathon  has always delivered an amazing course with awe inspiring views of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Beginning in 2013, "Doc" Antle added another item to an already incredible list of reasons why runners from all over the world travel to coastal South Carolina every February. Starting as a way for runners to give to their chosen charity, the MB Marathon added the Rare Species Fund to the recipient list. Experiencing a starting line with a 9,000 pound elephant lifting his trunk or getting your picture taken with an orangutan holding your marathon medal is an experience no other race can provide!

As seen at T.I.G.E.R.S. Preserve in Myrtle Beach, a stunning group of the world's most rare and endangered species will be available to view at the Runner's Expo on February 13th and 14th, 2014 as well as the Start / Finish lines at the 17th Annual Myrtle Beach Marathon on Saturday, February 15, 2014. View this video from the 2013 MB Marathon!
