Ever since releasing our center locking forged monoblock GT1 wheel (at SEMA 2013), we've received countless requests for a 5-lug version. So for the past several months, we've been hard at work engineering a wheel that maintains the character and appearance of the center locking GT1 yet accommodates a typical 5-lug mounting hub. It was not an easy task, but Forgeline Motorsports is now proud to introduce our latest one piece forged monoblock high-performance wheel, the GT1 5-Lug. The GT1 5-Lug is a 10-spoke wheel that shares many styling, engineering, and manufacturing elements with the coveted GT1 center lock. Included in that list are extra-long spokes that extend all the way to the center cap to create a wheel that appears larger and a bit more refined. The long spokes are made possible by "hidden" lug seats that virtually disappear behind the spoke faces. Like the original GT1, the GT1 5-Lug features I-beamed spokes that are uniformly spaced, a bit thinner in width, and a bit thicker in depth. This contributes to a wheel that not only looks great, but also delivers an exceptional combination of mass, fatigue strength, and deflection stiffness. The one piece forged monoblock GT1 5-Lug is machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum. It is currently available in 18, 19, 20, and 21-inch diameters. (Depending on size, the GT1 5-Lug may be available in deep, medium, or shallow concave profiles.) And just like any Forgeline wheel, the GT1 5-Lug is available with fully customizable finish options. Please learn more about the GT1 5-Lug (including available sizes and pricing) at: http://www.forgeline.com/products/one-piece-monoblock/gt1-5-lug.html

On the Podium at Kansas
What has been an extremely successful racing season for Forgeline teams in the ultra-competitive IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series continued on June 7, 2014 at Kansas Speedway with more podium and top-ten finishes for multiple teams on Forgeline wheels.
The success started in the ST class, where Team Sahlen's #42 Porsche Cayman on Forgeline GA3R wheels earned its first podium of the 2014 season. After struggling during practice, the Sahlen Cayman qualified with a disappointing 14th place starting position. But this turned out to be a blessing, since they avoided several incidents in the opening laps that retired a portion of the field. Then some excellent pit stops and solid driving performances put them near the front in the closing laps, where driver Wayne Nonnamaker was able to secure a well-deserved 2nd place finish.
Sharing the podium with Sahlen was the third place #87 Porsche Cayman from Rebel Rock Racing. The #87 Cayman's 3rd place finish was part of a very successful weekend for Rebel Rock, which included qualifying the #87 Cayman on the pole and finishing 5th in their #88 ST-class Cayman too.
Meanwhile in the GS class race (which was run during the same track session as the ST class), Rebel Rock somehow managed to exactly duplicate the performance of their ST cars, finishing 3rd in the #7 Porsche 911 and 5th in the #08 Porsche 911 (both equipped with Forgeline GA3R wheels). Other top ten GS finishers included 6th place for the Stevenson Motorsports #6 Camaro Z/28.R and 7th place for the #00 CKS Autosport Camaro Z/28.R (both on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels).
We are very proud of the efforts displayed by all of the Forgeline teams at Kansas, and we thank them for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!
The IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and TUDOR series teams meet again for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen at Watins Glen, NY this weekend (June 27-29).
