RealTime Racing Finishes on the Podium at Houston
In the season finale of the 2013 Pirelli World Challenge Racing Championship at the Grand Prix of Houston, RealTime Racing's Peter Cunningham piloted his No. 42 Acura TSX sedan to a second place finish. Peter's teammate, Nick Esayian in the No. 34 Acura TSX sedan, wasn't too far behind, scoring a ninth place finish of his own. Though 2013 will not result in a repeat of RealTime's 2012 championship, the turnaround in the second half of their 2013 season is nevertheless a major victory of sorts. Forgeline is proud to think that our one piece forged monoblock GA1R Open Lug wheel may have contributed to their renewed success.

Forgeline Motorsports is proud to introduce our latest one piece forged monoblock high-performance wheel, the SC1. The Forgeline SC1 is a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel. Utilizing manufacturing technology similar to our very successful GA1R wheel, the concave split 5-spoke design of the SC1 looks great and allows plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment. The one-piece monoblock forging and computer-simulated FEA design process yield a wheel that is lightweight, extremely stiff, and has excellent fatigue strength. The SC1 is machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum. It is currently available in 18, 19, and 20-inch diameters with a range of widths and offsets. (Please Note: Depending on size, the SC1 may be available in deep, medium, or shallow concave profiles. See sizing chart for details.) And just like any Forgeline wheel, the SC1 is available with fully customizable finish options. See Forgeline at SEMA 2013
We are very excited to be exhibiting at the 2013 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) show in Las Vegas, NV during the week of November 5-8. Our booth is #21553 located in the Performance and Racing Hall, where we'll have all of our newest wheel models and finishes on display. And virtually our entire office staff (including Dave, Steve, Mark, Todd, and John) will be answering questions about our products, our rapidly-growing company, and our reseller opportunities. The Grand-Am Racing series as we know it came to an exciting end at Lime Rock Park on September 27-28, 2013. Capping off a season of incredible success for Forgeline Motorsports, Forgeline-equipped cars led the way in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS class with a dominating one-two finish.
The success started in CTSCC GS, where the #61 Roush Performance Ford Mustang Boss 302R GT on Forgeline GA1R Open Lug racing wheels earned the overall win. Sharing the podium with them was the second place #9 Chevrolet Camaro from Stevenson Motorsports. All in all, Forgeline teams claimed 4 of the top 10 spots in CTSCC GS, including the #51 Roush Performance Ford Mustang Boss 302R in 6th and the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M3 in 10th.
Then in the premier Rolex Series race, BGB Motorsports leveraged a second place finish at Lime Rock to secure the 2013 GX class season championship in their #38 Porsche Cayman on Forgeline GA3R wheels. The GT class also saw a pair of top ten finishes with the #93 Turner Motorsport BMW in 5th place and the #75 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro in 6th place, with both cars on Forgeline GA3R wheels.
We are very proud of the efforts displayed by all of the Forgeline teams at Lime Rock Park, and we thank them for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!
Of course, now that the Grand-Am and American LeMans series have merged, the racing landscape for 2014 will look very different. The new-for-2014 United SportsCar Racing series will be the new face for professional sports car racing in the United States. And the new United SportsCar Racing series starts with the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26.
