Forgeline Motorsports and AWE Tuning are proud to announce a new partnership recognizing AWE Tuning as Forgeline's premier Partner serving the Audi/VW/German auto market in the eastern United States. Forgeline's premium forged alloy wheels will complement AWE Tuning's own manufactured brand of premium performance upgrades for German autos.
"We sought a wheel brand that not only had the pedigree and confidence brought from a history in motorsport, but also understood the lifestyle aspect of daily-driven performance vehicles. This, in conjunction with what we perceive to be one of the most ethical wheel brands in the business, made Forgeline a solid addition to the AWE Tuning performance catalog," stated Jesse Kramer, AWE Tuning partner and Vice President of Marketing.
"Forgeline is committed to working with dealers and distributors who are able to deliver the best customer experience through service and technical expertise. When it comes to German automobiles, AWE Tuning is one of the best," says Forgeline sales manager Steve Schardt. "AWE brings an impressive resume of German tuning and expertise to the table. We expect to see some impressive Forgeline fitments from them, and we're excited to be a part of it."
Forgeline Wheels will be sold through AWE Tuning's consultative wheel process. This process starts with an online form that triggers contact from an AWE Tuning Forgeline Wheel Specialist, ensuring that the Forgeline wheel chosen is a perfect fit every time, from both a use and fitment perspective.
AWE Tuning will commence the Forgeline relationship with their latest project car, a Samoa Orange 2013 Audi S5 fitted with 20-inch Forgeline VX3C Concave wheels finished in Transparent Smoke. |

Bret Voelkel, driving the RideTech 33 Ford on Forgeline CF3C wheels, was the winner of the 2013 Optima Faceoff at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Voelkel placed second in the autocross segment, first in the speedstop segment, and fifth in the road course segment, culminating in the overall first place finish over 70 other cars.
Voelkel commented: "Some days it all comes together... The RideTech suspension, the Baer Brakes, and the Falken Tires were all working together perfectly, I can't say enough about how the car performed. I love the Road America track... I was so happy to do well there, especially with the level of competition present!"
He went on to say: "Optima puts on a great event... not only the race itself, but the cruise and the whole social aspect of hotrodding makes it our favorite event of the year. Thanks to Optima Batteries for creating the event and to Baer Brakes, Falken Tires, Holley EFI, Forgeline Wheels, Factory Five Racing, and Centerforce Clutches for the components that make my 33 Ford fly!"
In addition to being the driver of the RideTech 33 Ford, Bret Voelkel is the founder and CEO of RideTech, a manufacturer of coil and air suspension components for the hotrod market. RideTech suspension components were used on 23 of the 70 cars competing at Road America last weekend.
RideTech's 33 Ford is a 2400 pound 630 HP beast equipped with RideTech triple adjustable coilovers and 18x12 Forgeline CF3C Concave wheels at all four corners.
