Eatherly Family Foundation
Science is in the spotlight, and thanks to the Eatherly Family Foundation, we have had two important pieces of equipment added to our Central Tool Collection!
First, an advanced model
Celestron microscope, complete with an assortment of slides, and the newest addition, an Orion Starblast Astronomical Telescope.
Both of these instruments will provide hours of family fun and learning opportunities, and they check out free with your up-to-date Telescope GPPL card.

Our sincere thanks to Ken Eatherly for his generous donations to the library and its patrons!
 
The library also partnered with WAS - Warren Astronomical Society, who are sharing six additional telescopes available for check out at the Woods Branch.
NIght SkyAmateur and Intermediate astronomers (or newbies) come learn about our new library telescope collection and programming. Enjoy a short program about watching the skies, hands-on activities and, with clear skies, a telescope viewing event at dusk. Led by volunteers from Warren Astronomical Society.

Tom Milano has been practicing lacto-vegetarianism (no meat, fish or eggs) for 44 years, taught adult education courses on "Spiritual Vegetarianism" for over 20 years, and is writing a book called "Spiritual Vegetarianism: The Key to Unveiling Heaven on Earth."
A small meal will be provided for people to sample some classic nutrient-dense healthy vegetarian dishes, including a classic homemade green smoothie.
