January 2012 Newsletter  ~  www.castellinsurance.com

The New Year is here, and it's already the middle of the month. 2011 was an exciting year at Castell Insurance. We are very appreciative of the many referrals you continue to send our way.  Our business continues to grow with great thanks for your continued confidence and support.

Due to our increased client base we are pleased to announce that we have expanded our office hours from 8.30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The fact that we can save money for our clients, as well as provide local service, is the over-riding factor attributing to our success.  In the past 12 months we have added the AARP branded Medicare Supplements offered by United HealthCare .

So, if your friends ever get a premium increase with their Medicare Supplements please ask them to call us for a review to see if we can save them some of their hard earned money. We love to provide service.

Long Term Care

This month's article in the Sequim Gazette, is about the need for Long Term Care Insurance  and should it be part of your estate preservation plan.

Please click here to read this important article.

Buying Long Term Care Insurance will never be less expensive than it is right now. It is guaranteed that if you do wait, the costs will definitely be higher in the future.

Food Drive Results

Operation Give Thanks

This was our first year participating in "Operation Give Thanks", the Salvation Army's national food drive. We were unsure what to expect and thrilled to have received over 600 items.  In fact the Salvation Army had to pick up the food twice thanks to such generous response.

This photo, taken during the second pickup, shows Major Katheleen Johnson of the Port Angeles detachment and agent John Coulson of our office.

OpGiveThxPickUp

We want to thank everyone who took the time to drop off food, as well as cash donations.  All donations remain on the peninsula

and were distributed locally.

 SantaPhil

The office also had a surprise visit from Santa!

We are already planning on how we can

top this event next Christmas!

Opinions

Last month I offered to share more of my opinions on the various topics we discuss in our monthly newsletter.  25 people requested a response!  To view some of my replies, click here to read our blog "News You Can Use - from Castell Insurance".  (You can also view my current monthly Sequim Gazette article on our Blog, as well as ALL past monthly articles.)

CD Annuities

Annuity

"Who You Gonna Call?CASTELL INSURANCE"

We are pleased to let people know that we always offer CD style Annuities.  A CD style annuity has fixed interest for a number of years similar to a CD, the earnings grow on a tax deferred basis and it avoids probate by having a named beneficiary.

Currently we have rates of 3% or higher depending on the length of the term, as well as the amount invested.

When you have a CD maturing why not give us a call and see what we can offer you.  Dozens of people have been thrilled they made that call last year, as they are earning rates frequently 2 or 3 times higher than a CD.

FREE SHREDDING EVENT
shredding event

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a free shredding event for our valued clients and the general public.

We mentioned it last month and have finalized the date.  It will be held at our office parking lot on March 3rd between 11 am and 2 pm.

The truck is from LeMay Mobile Shredding and you can actually witness the documents shredded right in front of your eyes.  It is pretty cool to watch.

Please stop by as we will be serving refreshments and we would love to see you.
To Beard or not to Beard?

OK, here is the story.  Over the holidays I decided I would grow a beard.  I think I was born with a moustache but have never had any real success growing other facial hair.  Here are pictures of me clean shaved as well as how I look currently.

We want to hear your opinion; should it stay or should it go???
