Art Guild of Person County recognizes five PCC art students
Five students in the Piedmont Community College Fine Arts program were honored recently by the Art Guild of Person County for their "artistic excellence." The Art Guild awarded five honorary members in the guild for one year to students Lance Cook, Hyejn Eom, Nicole Legaly, Storm McNeal, and Saundra Shoe.
PCC art instructor Amy Levine made the presentations on behalf of the Art Guild during the Kirby Art Gallery opening of the PCC student art show in April 18 in conjunction with the PCC Alumni Partnership's "Alumnus of the Year" reception.
"This year, the students have gone a step further, experimenting and taking chances, looking at contemporary art, and relating it to their own experiences. And this year, they are truly outstanding," Levine said, in recognition of the students' art exhibit opening that night at the Kirby Gallery. Click here for the full story.
