Recently back from NYC and a strategic escape from the aftermath of hurricane Sandy, Laura attended THE EXCHANGE, a.k.a 'The Harvard of Hair.' The creative session, Diagnostic Design, was a 'genius bar' where fellow artists from around the country got technical about principle based design.
Laura travels coast to coast for education not only honing her own skill set in hair artistry and personal development but that of her team. "Knowledge is the power behind success," says Kelley. She is committed to empowering her team at The East Studio and Genacelli Salon, where only the most talented and passionate hairdressers converge. |

Joseph Cartagena -
Co Owner and Creative Director of Genacelli Salon  On October 22, after serving on the board of directors for over 10 years, Joseph was appointed President of Cosmetologists Chicago, the largest association of hairdressers and host of the famous 'American's Beauty Show' www.americasbeautyshow.com.
"CC is a forward thinking, action-oriented network with an unlimited future," said Cartagena at the 2012 annual business meeting, "We have a winning team who will lead the organization into years of growth."
Cartagena also returned from a recent trip to London to network with top industry professionals from around the world. It is this type of networking that brings the best education to hairdresser's not only nationwide attending ABS, but for the team at Genacelli Salon and The East Studio. |

Studio Creative Stylist of The East Studio
Amanda just celebrated her 1yr anniversary in Chicago! A former resident of Florida, Amanda brought her 8 years of hair styling and color experience to The East Studio. And we love that she is part of OUR team!
Though her 'talent particulier' is french haircutting; a method of creating soft layers and natural movement in longer hair, Amanda loves the precision of men's tailoring and the shorter styles women are requesting this season and into spring. Add a little balayage and Oh La' La'!
