The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is pleased to alert you that a new proposed rule will be published soon.  
USDA to Issue Proposed Rule on 
Organic Livestock and Poultry Practices
The USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), National Organic Program (NOP) will post a proposed rule on the AMS website, titled Organic Livestock and Poultry Practices, on Thursday, April 7, 2016.
 
The proposed rule would clarify existing USDA organic regulations related to livestock and poultry production requirements, thereby ensuring consistency among organic producers and protecting the integrity of the USDA organic seal.   
 
Public Teleconference on Proposed Rule  

To introduce the proposed rule, AMS will host a listen-only teleconference providing an overview of the proposed rule and the comment process. A transcript of the call will be posted following the event. No registration is required to attend.
