The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is pleased to announce a new organic market news report and two upcoming webinars about Sound and Sensible organic certification outreach tools.
New Organic Market News Report
AMS Market News Divisions including, Specialty Crops, Livestock, Poultry, and Grain, and Dairy, have developed a National Organic Summary report to highlight some of the 200 different commodities reported.
This weekly report provides transparency in the marketplace by presenting data collected by market reporters from wholesale markets, retail ads, and industry participants from around the U.S. It includes links to additional organic market information and Market News contacts. This report will be updated and available on a weekly basis.
You can also search for historical reports. Under "Find Results," look for: "With the exact Phrase." In this box, type "Weekly National Organic Summary." Sections 2 and 3 will help you refine your search.

These 1-hour webinars, hosted by the Agricultural Marketing Service's National Organic Program, will provide an overview of education and outreach materials created for the Sound and Sensible organic certification initiative. Each session will summarize the goals of sound and sensible certification, provide an overview of the successful outcomes of 14 recent sound and sensible projects, and take a closer look at two of the projects and their deliverables.
By the end of each session, you will understand the goal of sound and sensible outreach, and will be able to easily access the outreach materials to use with your own audiences. For those attending both webinars, we will highlight different projects during each session.
