Family News

THANK YOU!
What a great morning last Sunday as the WHPC family gathered for breakfast, fellowship and worship.  So many worked so hard planning, decorating, setting up, cleaning up and transforming the gym from dining room to worship space in record time. The family was blessed and God was glorified through your joyful service. Thank you, thank you! View the photo gallery here.

Together: Families in Worship
We believe something significant happens when families worship together. We
understand that kids and youth get restless and each individual Sunday may not feel that significant, depending on the day. It's the practice of worshiping together over time that makes a lasting impact. We are working to make this a meaningful experience for families of all ages.

What's New for Sunday Morning?

Faith Sharing with Kids
For the next 8-10 weeks, kids of all ages will be invited forward during the service for a time of faith sharing. After this time, they can rejoin their parents for the remainder of the worship service or K-3rd can follow the adult leaders downstairs for special children's programming.
Please note: every child who goes downstairs must be checked in at the kiosk. Please check-in before worship at the Narthex kiosks, or follow your child downstairs and check them in.

New and Improved Busy Bags
Hopefully you've already found these and noticed the difference. We have age specific bags, so please choose the best bag for your child. Pick up busy bags at both sanctuary entrances and please return them at the end of the service.

Bookshelf
There are two bookshelves located at the entrances to the sanctuary with notebooks, puzzle books and age specific Bibles for your use during worship.

Coming Soon...
  •  Worship note sheets to help kids and youth engage at a deeper level.
  •  Opportunities for kids and youth to participate in worship leadership
Thank you to the WHPCKids Staff and the Transition Team for all their hard work to make this happen. Your comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged as we work Together to cultivate a culture of family worship.

Please send your feedback to the team by contacting Kyle Bender.

Flower Ministry Team
The Flower Ministry breaks down the Sunday Worship floral arrangements into smaller arrangements which are available for members and staff to take and give to anyone who is ill, in need of encouragement, or celebrating something special.

To be part of the team is a once-a-month commitment of 30 minutes to an hour after the 10:30 worship service.  Working in small teams, it is a creative, fun way to connect with new people.  No special skills required.

If you are interested in joining the team, contact Nancy Kocurek, 512-799-2640.
