Annual Congregational Meeting
Sunday, February 21, immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service // Sanctuary // The meeting will include election of officers for the Class of 2019. Elder nominees are Genia Blanchard, Christie Bybee, Betty Hewell, Vaughn Mankey and Ed Perry. Deacon nominees are Andrew Assir, Heather Bacon, Dave Gabriel, Cindy Gangstad, Chris Lingan, Todd Smith, Carol Swearingen and Shane Williams.
Noonday Lenten Organ Series
Begins Wednesday, February 17, 12-12:30 p.m. // Sanctuary // Six unique opportunities are offered for personal reflection and meditation with rich devotional literature of the pipe organ. The first organist, on February 17, is Professor Matthias Maierhofer, University of Texas at Austin. Lunch will be served in the Parlor following each program. // More info and a schedule here.
Tuesday Morning Men's Group

Student Ministry Parent-Leader Meeting

Lenten Sermon Series and Life Group Study

New Sunday Morning Study
Begins Sunday, February 14, 11 a.m. // Room 205 // The Fine Art of Marriage class is beginning a DVD series by Tim Keller entitled The Meaning of Marriage. While centered in marriage, the study is beneficial to maintaining relationships of all types. // Contact: Mike Douglas

GriefShare
Begins Thursday, February 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m. // Room 202 // This national program is designed to assist people in walking the journey of grief with support along the way. The 13-week session includes videos and small group conversation. Cost is $15. // Contact: Carolyn Strickland

Missionary Visit
February 20-21 // Please join us for coffee and pastries as we celebrate The Reverend Matthew Jun, his wife, Jennifer, and their ministry, Hope Nicaragua, on Saturday, February 20, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Dining Hall. // Contact: Nancy Pickett // Matthew will also be sharing his inspiring account of God working in his life during a time of great suffering in two adult Sunday School classes on Sunday, February 21:

Community First! Village Build
Saturday, February 13, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. // Community First! Village // WHPC will be building a second micro house, spearheaded by Student Ministry. Students in 11th and 12th grade are needed, along with adult volunteers to help build and provide lunch. // More info and sign up here.

WHPC Nicaragua Family Mission Trip
June 2-11 // Sports camp, women's seminars, Vacation Bible School, micro-loan program and much more! No special talent is required, just a willingness to serve and share Christ's love. All ages are welcome! // Completed applications are due by April 1. // More info and applications here.

2016 Africa Mission Trip
June 18-July 2 // This trip to Lusaka, Zambia, will include building our partnership with the Lusaka South Congregation through a shared construction project at Westlake Hills Prayer House. No experience needed, we will "work" as we are able. We will also meet with our sponsored seminary students, work with community schools, make home visits and go on a three-day safari. // More info and applications here.

Middle School Mission Trip

Alternative Valentines Gift-Giving
January 31-February 14 // Say "Happy Valentine's Day" in a unique way this year! You can honor someone who has made a difference in your life and ultimately impact the world by making a gift to mission in that person's name. Valentines are available in the Parlor and throughout the church building or they can be printed online here.

Meal a Month Bags
Sunday, February 14 // Pick up your blue Meal a Month bag this week and return it on Sunday, February 21. Donations help stock the Manos de Cristo food pantry. Requested items for February are: cereal, sugar, canned peas, canned carrots, mayonnaise, soup, Vienna sausage, dish soap, body soap. Optional item: $5 HEB gift card.
