News of the Family
Becca Bryant (Westlake Hills Presbyterian Preschool teacher) died on January 10. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 16, from 3-5 p.m. at the Hancock Recreation Center, 811 E. 41st Street.

Church Office Hours on January 18

Living in Faith Women's Study
Begins Sunday, January 17, 9:30 a.m. // Room 202 // Go deeper in the Word, in your faith, in your life, as we begin this study of the Gospel of John. Thursday Afternoon Women's Bible Study

Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event
Saturday, January 16 // The WHPC Gym will be filled with 750 volunteers to help pack over 150,000 meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. A limited number of volunteer spots are still available at one of the three packing stations and for set-up/tear down. High School Student Leadership Opportunities
Sunday, January 17, 12:30-1:30 p.m. // Bethlehem (downstairs) // High School students are invited to attend this orientation and learn more about serving as a small group leader in Children's Ministry. // More info: Marcus Marroquin

FOCUS Volunteers
January 22-24 // Volunteers are still needed during Student Ministry FOCUS weekend in these areas: 
  • Drivers to shuttle empty vans between WHPC and the rental site on Friday, January 22, 1-3 p.m. and Sunday, January 24, 1-3 p.m. Click here.
  • Host homes for 6th grade girls, 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade boys, 10th grade boys, including leaders for each group. Click here.
Nicaragua Family Mission Trip
June 2-11 // Sports camp, women's seminars, Vacation Bible School, micro-loan program and much more! No special talent is required, just a willingness to serve and share the love of Jesus Christ. All ages are welcome! // More info and application here.

Manos de Cristo Volunteer Opportunities
WHPC Mission Partner Manos de Cristo needs volunteers in two specific areas:
  • Substitute volunteers to pick up the food order monthly at the Capital Area Food Bank and bring it to Manos de Cristo. A truck or SUV is needed and volunteers will be carrying heavy boxes of food. Pick-up days are Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.
     
  • Volunteers to work in the Food Pantry or Clothes Closet. The commitment is at least once a month for three consecutive months. Days available are 2nd Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of the month (Clothes Closet) and 2nd Tuesday of the month (Food Pantry).
