Lee Power (daughter, Julie Smith) died on December 31. A service will be held on Thursday, January 7, at 1 p.m. in the Sanctuary. A reception will follow in the Parlor.

Patsy Williams (husband, R.O., and son, Bill) died on January 4. A service is scheduled for Thursday, January 7, at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
Life Groups
Life Groups will begin one of four new studies during the week of January 10: Prodigal God by Tim Keller, Next Christians by Gabe Lyons, Lectio Divina or the book of Ephesians. Check with your Life Group leader for your group's meeting and study schedule. // Contact: Stacy Ikard

Missionary Visit to WHPC
Sunday, January 10 // Susie Frerichs, a longtime missionary and friend of WHPC, will be visiting us this coming Sunday. Meet her and hear about the work she has been doing for the past nine years in the Huastecas area of central Mexico. She will speak to the Christian Perspectives/Dearman Class (Room 200) at 9:30 a.m. and the Fine Art of Marriage class at 11 a.m. (Room 205). All are welcome! Dinner on Wednesday Nights

WNL Dinner is back for Spring 2016! The meals, catered by What's for Lunch Austin, will include an entree, side dish and salad/veggie. Living in Faith Women's Study

Begins Sunday, January 17, 9:30 a.m. // Room 202, formerly the Guest Lounge // Go deeper in the Word, in your faith, in your life, as we begin this study of the Gospel of John. John's account of Jesus' life and ministry differs in substance and style from the other Gospels. His unique perspective challenges us to re-examine our beliefs. // Contact: Carolyn Panter 

Community First! Village Welcome Home Celebration
Saturday, January 9, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. // 9301 Hog Eye Road // Dennis, the chef at Community First! Village, lives in an RV provided by WHPC through our Christmas Eve offering several years ago. His RV is now being moved to Community First! Village. We are invited to help him get settled (set up the kitchen, stock the pantry, sign his Blessing Book, and more) and then welcome him home! // More info and sign-up here.

Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event
Saturday, January 16 // The WHPC Gym will be filled with 750 volunteers to help pack over 150,000 meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Volunteer spots are still available at one of the three packing stations and for set-up/tear down. High School Student Leadership Opportunities

Student Ministry Program Staff Positions
Positions are available working with the WHPC Student Ministry staff to create a fun and meaningful midweek program for JAM (Middle School) on Wednesday nights or Signulls (High School) on Tuesday nights. These positions are paid and require a commitment of 2-3 hours per week through the rest of the school year. // More info: Kyle Bender 
Christmas Eve Offering
Approximately $55,000 was collected in the Christmas Eve offerings at the five worship services combined. These donations will go to build The Refuge Ranch in Bastrop County for girls rescued from sex trafficking and the Westlake Hills Prayer House in Lusaka, Zambia. Donations may still be made. Please clearly identify your donation as part of the Christmas Eve offering and place it in the offering plate or drop it by the church office. // Learn more and watch the Christmas Eve offering video here.

Meal a Month Sunday
Sunday, January 10 // Pick up your blue Meal a Month bag on Sunday and return it on Sunday, January 17. Donations help stock the Manos de Cristo Food Pantry. Requested items for January are: cereal, cooking oil, applesauce, rice, single trail mix for the homeless, toothpaste, toothbrushes. Optional: $5 HEB gift card
