The Corporation for National and Community Service has opened it's annual funding competition for the RSVP Program. This program creates community capacity by placing volunteers aged 55 or older in long-term service placements focused on education; economic opportunity; healthy futures; veterans and military families; and other areas.

Building a Beloved Community: Strengthening the Field of Black Male Achievement is a collaborative effort between Open Society Foundations, Foundation Center, and BMA Funders. Pulling from interviews with 50 leaders in the Black Male Achievement field, including Geoffrey Canada, Trabian Shorters, and Joe Jones, this report explores the diverse, multidisciplinary, and cross-sector work to advance black male achievement.

Eddie McCaskill, a Licensed Psychotherapist from the St. Louis based nonprofit, Fathers Support Center,  works with men enrolled in the organization's Fathers' Support Family Formation Program. Mr. McCaskill was recognized by the Zeta Phi Beta, St. Louis Chapter as a Community Hero for 2014.
