Cardio Sampler Event Sunday, February 24
Have you settled into a routine and find yourself doing the same workouts throughout the week? Now may be the time to mix up your workout and try something new! Join us on Sunday, February 24 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm for a Cardio Sampler Event. The event will start with a warm-up and will include four 15-minute sample classes, followed by a cool down and then finish up with some information from our dietitian, Sandy, on heart healthy eating tips.
The sample classes include: Step, Metabolic Blast, Boot Camp and Kick-it. Rockwell Collins employees and family members who are eligible for a Rec Center membership are free to join us for the Cardio Sampler Event! Load up the family, invite a friend along and try something new on Sunday, February 24. |

Young at Heart!
New Programs for Youth Members
The Rec Center is now offering two new programs for students 12-18 years of age. A weights program for all abilities and a plyometrics program will be offered. The eight-week programs will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm and from 7:30-8:30pm from February 25th through April 18th. All students will work with certified trainers.
The weights program will teach the correct fundamentals of weight training, including both free-weights and machine weights. The cost is $150.00. Class size is limited to 12 students per time slot.
The plyometrics program will consist of vertical training, foot speed and agility, running form and med ball training. The cost of this program is $125.00. Class size is limited to 12 students per time slot.

New Client Personal Training Special
Have you been thinking about personal training, but never tried it before at the Rockwell Collins Rec Center? We are offering a special deal to anyone who is new to personal training at the Rec Center. Through the month of February you may purchase a one-hour individual session for just $20 plus tax.
Or if you would like to commit to a package deal, new clients may purchase a package of twelve one-hour individual sessions for $300 plus tax. The single session or package must be purchased by 2/28/13.

Receive Three Free Guest Passes when you Donate
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will be conducting their quarterly blood drive at the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center on Thursday, February 21st. Donation times are from 7am until 3pm in the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center Fitness Classroom.

Participants will receive three free guest passes for the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center (a $36.00 value).
The following class changes will be made to accomodate the Blood Drive in the Fitness Classroom:
5:25am Kick It will end at 6am.
9:10am SilverSneakers Yoga Stretch is cancelled
9:20am Fitness Yoga is moved to the High Court
10:30am Kids Fit and Fun is cancelled

Forgotten ID Fee Reinstated
Beginning Friday, February 1st we will reinstate the Forgotten ID Fee. A fee of $3 plus tax will be required to enter the facility without your ID. You also have the option to purchase a new ID for $5 plus tax. |

East Court Reservations Available
Beginning February 1st any group with eight or more individual members has the opportunity to reserve the East Court during open times for large group activities. This includes volleyball, pickleball, badminton, basketball and dodgeball.
- groups may reserve the court for $20 per hour (includes tax)
- reservation may be made up to 7 days in advance
- no same day reservations will be allowed
- groups must have a minimum of eight people to make the
reservation
- reservation fee will be charged to the account of the person
making the reservation
- all charges are non-refundable
The court reservation system will allow larger groups the opportunity to get their preferred court time. The West Court will continue to be available on a first come basis. The East Court will be available on a first come basis when it is not reserved. |
