PASTOR'S CORNER

We are going with a Parishioner's Corner this week and Carlos will be giving the contribution. I am so thankful to have him share his reflection on Gilead and on the 2 and 4th Wednesdays in June and July we will be having a Gilead book club meeting at Savage Pizza.
I am looking forward to getting this group going and hopefully it will be the beginning of a new church group.

"Only that which is apart from my own being is capable of being doubted by me. How then can I doubt God, who is my being? To doubt of God is to doubt of myself."

This is prairie minister's meditation on the culmination of his life experience in the novel, "Gilead"  by Marilynne Robinson.  "Gilead" won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and the National Book Critics Award in 2005 and will be the inspiration and first subject of Memorial Drive's Book Club.  Please join us at 7:00pm at Savage Pizza on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of June and July and share your insights on this glowing work which covers just about everything we encounter in life with inspired meaning and amazing beauty.
